CM admits in Assy of circulation of fake notes

Shillong, Apr 2 (UNI) Meghalaya Chief Minister D D Lapang today admitted in the Assembly that the government was aware of the circulation of fake currency in the state.

In his reply to a Zero Hour notice raised by Meghalaya Democratic Party MLA Process T Sawkmie, Mr Lapang assured the House that the government would act against those involved in circulation of fake notes.

He said the government has instructed to bring the culprits to book.
