BJP to seeks clarification over Goa elections
New Delhi, Apr 2 (UNI) The BJP will seek clarification from Central Election Commission to clear clouds over the clash of local body elections in Goa with Assembly polls.
BJP incharge for Goa Assembly elections Rajiv Pratap Rudy said there was confusion in the political circles over the state election office annoucing elections on April 29 for local bodies when the next assembly has to be in place before June 12.
If
the
two
elections
were
held
almost
at
the
same
time,
they
were
bound
to
create
a
clash
of
the
interests
of
all
parties
and
the
state
government
had
complained
that
it
was
kept
out
of
picture
by
the
State
EC
empowered
to
hold
elections
to
local
bodies.
