Bishnoi withdraws defamation case against BJP leader

Hisar, Apr 2 (UNI) Suspended Congress MP Kuldip Bishnoi today withdrew a defamation case filed by him against senior BJP leader Vijay Kumar Malhotra.

The case was due to be heard in the court of judicial magistrate Poonam Suneja on April 4, but Mr Bishnoi's counsel today submitted in the court that his client and the respondent had reached a compromise over the issue and Mr Bishnoi wished to withdraw the case.

As Mr Malhotra's lawyer did not raise any objection, the court accepted Mr Bishnoi's plea.

Mr Bishnoi had slapped the case against Mr Malhotra for alleging that his father, former Haryana Chief Minister Bhajan Lal, had misused his power in grabbing a petrol pump.
