Bharti Airtel reduces ISD tariffs by up to 11 pc

New Delhi, Apr 2 (UNI) Bharti Airtel today announced up to 11 per cent reduction in its International Long Distance (ISD) tarifs for its mobile customers in India.

Calls made to the US, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, New Zealand and Europe (Fixed Line) will cost 11 per cent less as the charges have been reduced to Rs 6.40 per minute from Rs 7.20 per minute.

Similarly, other countries including Gulf, SAARC countries, Africa and Europe (Mobile) will be accesible at Rs 9.20 a minute as against the earlier Rs 9.99 per minute, cheaper by 8 per cent.

''Being the industry leader, we will continue to be at the forefront in driving affordability and providing greater value to our customers,'' said Mr Sanjay Kapoor, President, Mobile Services, Bharti Airtel.

The new tariffs are applicable from April 1, 2007.
