Two mineral mines raided, bauxite worth several lakhs seized
Jamnagar, Gujarat, Apr 1 (UNI) Police today conducted simultaneous raids at two mineral mines, located near Mota-Ashota and Fulkhadidhar villages, and seized bauxite worth several lakhs of rupees from the trucks and tractors there.
The police teams, led by Sub-Inspectors Himanshu Doshi and A K Pandya, raided the mineral mines in a bid to prevent the illegal mining being done by a gang.
The teams seized bauxite worth several lakhs of rupees from the miscreants and recovered three JCB machines, five trucks and eight tractors from them, the police said.
The value of seized vehicles was estimated at over Rs 80 lakh, while the worth of minerals would be known only after an examination by the experts, the police said.
