Two commit suicide in Kashmir

Srinagar, Apr 1 (UNI) Two people committed suicide across the Kashmir valley today, police said.

One Mohammad Altaf Mir consumed some poisonous substance at his residence at Sadoora in Qazigund area of Anantnag district.

He was immediately rushed to a hospital where he died.

Police have registered a case and taken up investigations.

In another incident, a women, Shameema Begum, a resident of Bonibhat Taratpora near Vilgam, consumed some poisonous substance resulting in her death.

Police have taken cognizance and initiated proceedings in this regard.
