Thundershowers to occur in North Eastern states

Pune, Apr 1 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim.

They are also likely to occur in Orissa, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, north Rajasthan, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Lakshadweep.

Dry weather will prevail over Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, south Rajasthan, Gujarat, Marathwada, Telangana and Rayalaseema.

Severe heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated places in Haryana and east Rajasthan.

Heat wave conditions also prevailed in west Madhya Pradesh, some parts of Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in west Rajasthan and north Madhya Maharashtra.

Hot day conditions prevailed in some parts of coastal Saurashtra.

Day temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttaranchal, Punjab, east Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and in some parts of Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Tamil Nadu and in parts of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and north Madhya Maharashtra.

The temperatures were above normal in south Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, in parts of coastal and north interior Karnataka and Kerala. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Very light rain had occurred at isolated places in Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Rain or thundershowers had occurred at isolated places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Tamil Nadu.

Dry weather prevailed over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh State, Karnataka and Lakshadweep.
