SVUTA demands for raise in retirement age

Tirupati, Apr 1 (UNI) Sri Venkateswara University Teachers Association (SVUTA) has demanded the Andhra Pradesh government that retirement age of teachers working in universites in the state be raised to 65, on par with the Central University.

In a letter, SVUTA had requested the government that all facilities provided to the Central University teachers including equal salaries, teachers appointments and others should be provided to the teachers working in various universities in country, the Association President K Raja Reddy said in a release here today.

The Association had adopted a resolution to this effect at its meeting here, the release added.
