SR to run specials to Bangalore during summer

Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 1 (UNI) To clear the extra rush of traffic during the summer months of April, May and June, the Southern Railways will run special trains to Bangalore from Ernakulam and Nagercoil.

Train No 0641 and 0642 Ernakulam-Bangalore (weekly) Superfast special would leave Ernakulam at 1700 hrs on Mondays from April 16 to June 25 and arrive Bangalore at 0420 hrs the next day. Train No 0642 Bangalore-Ernakulam superfast special would leave Bangalore at 1715 hrs on Tuesdays from April 17 to June 26 and arrive Ernakulam at 0430 hrs the next day, a release said here.

The trains would stop at Aluva, Thrissur, Ottappalam, Palakkad, Podanur, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Tirupattur, Bangarpet, Krishnarajapuram, Bangalore Cantonment and Bangalore city.

Train No 0638 Ernakulam-Bangalore tri-weekly superfast special would leave Ernakulam at 1700 hrs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from April three to June 30 and arrive Bangalore at 0420 hrs the next day. Train No 0637 Bangalore-Ernakulam triweekly superfast special would leave Bangalore at 1715 hrs on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays from April one to June 29 and arrive Ernakulam at 0430 hrs the next day. The trains would stop at Aluva, Thrissur, Ottappalam, Palakkad, Podanur, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Tirupattur, Bangarpet, Krishnarajapuram, Bangalore Cantonment and Bangalore City.

Train No 0648 Nagercoil-Bangalore tri-weekly superfast special would leave Nagercoil at 1530 hrs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from April two to June 29 and arrive Bangalore at 0900 hrs the next day. Train No 0647 Bangalore-Nagercoil tri-weekly superfast special would leave Bangalore at 1745 hrs on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from April one to June 28 and arrive Nagercoil at 1115 hrs the next day, the release said.

The trains would stop at Tirunelveli, Vanchimaniyachchi, Kovilpatti, Satur, Virudunagar, Madurai, Kodaikkanal Road, Dindigul, Karur, Erode, Salem, Dharmapuri, Hosur and Bangalore Cantonment.
