Six persons including two girls held for indulging in prostitution

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Apr 1 (UNI) Six persons, including two girls, were arrested for allegedly being part of a prostitution racket.

Acting on a tip-off, Osmanapura police last night raided a hotel at the Beed by-pass road and arrested a 20-year-old girl along with a decoy customer the police had sent to the hotel.

The police later arrested another 20-year-old girl, a waiter of Mohan Pagare Hotel, pimps -Prashant Patil, Prakash Pawar and the owner of the hotel Kalyan Aagale, after the girl arrested earlier revealed their names.

Police sources quoting from the revelation of the girl said the 20-year-old-girl has graduated in Arts and entered the racket to fulfill her dream of becoming an air-hostess. She had allegedly entered into an agreement with the pimps for Rs 90,000, which she wanted to pay as the admission fee to the concerned college in Pune.

All the six accused were booked under section 3, 4 and 5 of the prevention of immoral trafficking act-1956.

A local court today granted bail to the two girls. The remaining four persons have been remanded to police custody till April five.
