Police inspector suspended

Hubli, Apr 1 (UNI) A police Inspector was suspended pending a regular inquiry.

Commissioner of police Narayan Nadamani told UNI that the officer was allegedly caught red handed by a TV channel staff in connection with the irregularities on movement of transport vehicles.

Staff of the TV channel had met the officer posing themselves as transporters and sought tips from the officer for running illegal business.

The whole episode of Inspector taking tips was telecast yesterday by the channel.
