PDP chief whip quits party, Assembly seat
Jammu, Apr 1 (UNI) People's Democratic Party (PDP) Senior leader Ghulam Hassan Khan said he was quitting the party and would also resign his assembly seat, following differences with the party leadership.
Talking to mediapersons here Mr Khan, a former minister of state for social welfare and now PDP's chief whip in the Assembly, said following ''serious differences'' with party leadership, he has decided to resign from the party as well as his Assembly seat.
''Serious differences developed with my party leadership. I have resigned from the party and sent my resignation letter to PDP president Mehbooba Mufti.'' Mr Khan, however, said he would tell mediapersons about what these 'serious differences' were and reason for his resignation in a press conference tomorrow.
