Public transport was affected with the KSRTC withdrawing its service following the bandh in the city.

Mr Siddaramaiah and other Congress leaders including former Ministers accused the police of high handedness and acting at the behest of the Janata Dal (S) leaders.
Mr Siddaramaiah and others who had been arrested by the police had been released early today.
However, Mr Siddaramaiah demanded from the police in writing about the reason for his arrest.
Meanwhile, the agitators also staged a protest at Railway station and stopped the Mysore-Bangalore Tippu Express for some time.
