Man 'sacrifices' minor daughter

Mirzapur, Apr 1 (UNI) A superstitious man allegedly 'sacrificed' his daughter at the behest of an 'ojha' (faith healer) here.

Police said Rajmani of village Baburakalan desperately wanted to have a son.

He was convinced by an 'ojha' Rambaran Nau, that if he 'sacrificed' his daughter, his wish would come true.

Yesterday, Rajmani severed his daughter Rinki's (8) head with a sharp-edged weapon.

Rajmani and Rambaran were caught by villagers, when the former's wife Sheela raised an alarm. They were handed over to the police.
