Ex-MLA works as farmhand in MP
Betul, MP, Apr 1 (UNI) Former MLA Ramjilal Uike, who was twice elected from Ghodadogri and also served ad the Energy Department's Parliamentary Secretary during Bharatiya Janata Party leader Sunderlal Patwa's chief ministership, is now forced to work as farmhand due to ''financial'' constraints.
A Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme job card also exists in the name of sextagenarian Uike whose wife Geeta happens to be the Ghodadogri Janpad President.
''My pension of Rs 5,000 and my wife's income of Rs 1,200 proves insufficient. An exodus is taking place in this district as work is unavailable under the Scheme,'' claims Mr Uike who started out as a teacher.
