Devotees throng Lord Subramanya Swamy temple
Tiruchirapally, Tamil Nadu, Apr 1 (UNI) Hundreds of devotees thronged the historic 'Lord Subramanya Swamy' temple at Kumara Vayaloor, here on the occasion of Panguni Uthiram festival, today.
The ritualistic festival of 'Lord Murugan' was celebrated with religious and traditional fervour. A large number of devotees from various parts of the state carried milk pots on their heads, braving scorching sun.
The devotees also carried the traditional 'Kavadi' on their shoulders as a tribute to the deity as a fulfilment of their religious owes. Special poojas and milk abhishekams were performed to the deity on the occasion.
