Vijayawada, Apr 1 (UNI) The three-day Andhra Pradesh state executive meeting of the Communist Party of India (CPI), beginning on April 11 here, will discuss issues related to surplus land and illegal encroachments in state.
Talking to newspersons, CPI State Secretary K Narayana alleged the state government had not distributed state-owned surplus land to landless poor.
Referring to apex court's stay on OBC reservations in higher educational institutions, Mr Narayana said the Centre should take initiative to ensure the implementation of the OBC reservation without any delay.
The CPI would support the proposed bandh in Andhra Pradesh on April four called by the Backward Class Associations to protest against the Supreme Court's interim verdict, he added.
