Congress leader killed in north Kashmir

Baramulla, Apr 1 (UNI) A Congress leader was killed and his personal guard wounded when militants opened fire on him at Khawaja Bagh, near here, early this morning.

Official sources said John Mohammed Kokroo was on the way to his home from a shrine when the militants fired at him.

Mr Kokroo died on the spot while his guard was injured.

Police and security forces have launched a massive hunt to nab the militants responsible for the Congress leader's killing.
