Bush says US would cut farm aid for Doha deal

today
the
United
States
would
be
willing
to
accept
''substantial''
cuts
in
farm
subsidies
to
secure
a
global
trade
agreement.
But
Bush,
speaking
at
a
news
conference
with
Brazilian
President
Luiz
Inacio
Lula
da
Silva,
said
the
United
States
wanted
market
access
in
return.
He
also
said
he
believed
the
Doha
round
had
a
good
chance
of
succeeding.
