Body of gram pradhan recovered from forest

Latehar, Apr 1 (UNI) The police have recovered the body of Karcha village Pradhan from a forest in Mahuatand of Latehar district.

Superintendent of Police Ravikant Dhan here said the body of gram pradhan Martin Deg was recovered yesterday from the Bhawnadih forest.

He said the reason behind his killing was not yet known but suspected that the CPI (Maoist) may have been involved since they had demanded Rs 9 lakh as levy from the deceased.

Police are investigating the matter.
