2 Jain sadhvis die in road mishap

Palnpur, Apr 1 (UNI) Two Jain Sadhvis were killed, while two others injured, when a truck dashed against them while they were walking near Brahman Vada in Mehasana district.

The four were heading from Palanpur to Ahmedabad yesterday, when the mishap occurred. The bodies of deceased Sadhvi Vinit Prgya Shriji (40) and Nayavardhan Shriji (38), were brought back to Palanpur.

The injured were admitted to Lions Hospital in Mehsana, police said.

Punya Ratna Shriji Maharaj is still unconscious while Rajuji Jujaji Thakor, who was carrying the Sadhvis luggage on a bicycle is said to be out of danger, police added.

Mehsana police said the vehicle involved in the mishap could not be traced.
