UDF (I) extends support to SP ahead of UP polls
Lucknow, Mar 31 (UNI) The United Democratic Front (India) today extended support to the ruling Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the assembly elections.
UDF (I) president Sheikh Shahid Hussain Siddique said here that his party was extending support to the SP after Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav agreed to consider its 10-point charter of demands.
The demands raised by the party include separate reservation for Muslims in institutions of higher education, employment to Muslims in police services and reservation for Muslims in government and non-government jobs.
