'Southern Charge' claims Bangalore Juvenile Million

Bangalore, Mar 31 (UNI) Public choice 'Southern Charge', ridden by Jockey K P G Appu, won the Bangalore Juvenile Million (Grade II), the main event of the Bangalore winter meeting (2006-07) which concluded today.

The winner is the joint property of Dr C S Poonawalla and Mr Z S Poonawalla, representing the Poonawalla Racing and Breed Limited, and Capt Jamshed J Appoo. It was trained by S Padmanabhan.

Trainers Irfan Ghatala and B Puttanna had a brace of winners each.

Only three favourites obliged punters in a long card of nine events.
