Payal Singhal weaves fashionable celtic spell at LFW
Mumbai, Mar 31 (UNI) Payal Singhal's 'Lizard Queen collection' was showcased at the Lakme Fashion Week here today.
Her collection, very much like a fashion story was inspired by Celtic spells - very opulent, dreamy just like Jim Morrison's Lizard Queen.
Colours were muted ranging from the neutral ivory to wine, champagne, brown, black and olive in self-designed jacquards, satin, velvet and silk.
With the very popular smock as her predominant silhouette, Payal offered it in variations of fabrics and embellished with the collar glittering with stones, zardosi work, zari and sequins. She kept her creations strictly appealing to the 21st century woman.
Like the lizard known for its many shades and moods, the smock took on umpteen hues in fabrics and patterns and often turned into a blouson jumpsuit, a blouson layered strappy gown, a pinafore, briefly strayed as a shift with zig zag embroidery, a multi coloured fabric dress with sash or a will power black smock with removable ornate collar.
