Opium smugglers convicted
Neemuch (MP), Mar 31 (UNI) A special court has sentenced 10 years rigorous imprisonment and fine of Rs one lakh to two persons charged with smuggling opium.
The Narcotics Control Bureau officials caught Bhanwarlal Patidar and Radheshyam Gayari, residents of Chookani village near Manasa, on April 24, 2003 while illegally carrying 4.65 kg opium, the prosecution said.
Special Court Judge Anupam Shrivastava convicted them on Thursday.
