Jains celebrate Mahaveer Jayanti in city

Visakhapatnam, Mar 31 (UNI) The Jain community here today celebrated Mahaveer Jayanti with large number of devotees participating in a procession from Shri Sambhavnath Jain temple.

Special poojas were held at the 100-year-old Sambhavnath Jain temple. Prasadams were distributed to the poor.

A report from Vijayawada said Mahaveer Jayanthi was celebrated in the city.

A 'Shoba Yatra' was organised and several devotees participated in it.
