India to sign labour pact with Kuwait: Ravi

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 31 (UNI) Overseas Indian Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi today said the country would sign a labour pact with Kuwait soon.

Talking to newspersons here, he said the agreement would be signed during his trip to the Gulf region from April 8.

He said the pact would be similar to that signed with the UAE last year. Talks would also be held with Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Oman for a similar agreement.

He said the labour conditions in the UAE had improved after the agreement came into force.
