IA passengers suffer due to flight cancellation

Dubai, Mar 31: Indian Airlines passengers booked to travel from Sharjah to Kozhikode were caught in an unexpected series of events after their flight was cancelled and they were made to move to and from airport only to lose their calm.

The flight scheduled to depart yesterday at 0110 hrs was cancelled due to 'technical reasons' and passengers were asked to go home. The airline officials, however, informed them to return for departure at 1200 hrs only to be sent back home again, passengers said.

IAC 596 flying from Sharjah to Mumbai, Goa and Kozhikode finally departed at 2200hrs, Emirates Today reported.

Another flight IAC976 from Sharjah to Kochi, Coimbatore and Chennai was also delayed by several hours due to technical reasons triggering passenger fury.
