HM hideout busted in Kashmir
Srinagar Mar 31 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) unearthed a hideout which was being used by the militants of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) for the past two years in south Kashmir.
A police spokesman said troops of 166 battalion CRPF and police conducted a joint search operation at Saidpora, Shopian, about 55 km from here in south Kashmir district of Pulwama following a tip off about the militant hideout.
He said during the operation an underground hideout constructed in the orchard of Basharat Ahmad Bhat was busted.
About two quintals of Rice, one quital of flour, other eatable items and some blankets were recovered from the hideout.
Meanwhile, 50 Rashtriya Rifles during search operation at high reaches of village Pastuna jurisdiction of police station Tral, recovered three UBGL grenade, one UBGL and two Chinese grenades.
