'Full Commission' to visit Meerut on Apr 2

Lucknow, Mar 31 (UNI) Chief Election Commissioner N Gopalaswami, along with his two commissioners would visit Meerut on April 2, ahead of the second phase of polling in Uttar Pradesh.

The office of the chief electoral officer (CEO) said here that the 'full commission' would take stock of the situation in West UP, which is going for elections in the second phase on April 13.

ADG (Law and Order), the concerned IGs, DIGs, DMs, SSPs and SPs would attend the meeting, besides other senior government functionaries.

Meanwhile, the EC have instructed that an additional polling officer would be deployed in polling booths where the electorate is over 1500.
