Fossils of Dinosaur eggs recovered

Dhar(MP), Mar 31 (UNI) Fossils of 25 dinosaur eggs were recovered from Kukshi area in Dhar district of western Madhya Pradesh.

Activists of non-government organisation 'Mangal Panchayatan Parishad'' said the recovery was made early this week from a site close to a spot from where 100 such Dinosaur egg fossils had been recovered last month.

Parishad convenor Vishal Varma said the egg fossils recovered earlier by amateur researchers had been handed over to a fossil museum at Mandu. Since the district administration had not taken initiative for its exhibition, the NGO will keep 25 fossils with it to educate children.

The eggs were estimated to be 14 crore years old as the location then was considered close to seashore, he added.
