EC seeks details on Mulayam's programme at AMU

Lucknow, Mar 31 (UNI) The Election Commission has sought details of a programme at the Aligarh Muslim University where Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav was present, following a complaint.

The EC has asked state Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Anuj Kumar Bishnoi to provide it with details of programme held on March 29.

It has been alleged the function, which took place in the presence of the V-C had political overtounes as certain politicians were also present. The according to the, complaint political statements were also issued from the forum.

The CEO, in turn, has asked the district authorities at Aligarh to provide him with news clippings, video recordings and other details of the programme at the earliest.
