Customs dept seized heroin worth Rs 2.13 crore

Shillong, Mar 31(UNI) The anti-smuggling unit of the Customs Department recently seized 2.130 kilogram of heroin worth Rs 2.13 crore from a vehicle coming to Guwahati from Manipur.

A press communique issued here today said two persons were also arrested in this connection.

In another seizure, the unit recovered 3.200 kiogram of opium from a Dhaba at the busy Guwahati-Shillong road.
