C'garh will not demand paramilitary forces from Centre
Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Mar 31 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh today said the state government would not demand paramilitary forces from the Centre for dealing with naxalite menace.
Dr Singh told reporters at Ranibodli in the South Bastar yesterday that vacant posts in police department would be filled within one month.
He said anti-naxalite 'Salwa Judum' movement will continue until peace was established in the Bastar.
More than 50 police personnel were killed in a naxalite attack on a police camp at Ranibodli some days ago.
Dr Singh said adequate security will be provided in relief camps. Fencing and solar light arrangements had been put around in 16 camps from the viewpoint of security.
On removal of forces from ashrams and schools in naxal-affected Bastar, he said it was not an issue. He said another ashram building was being constructed in Ranibodli.
He denied reports of jawans being in drunken stupor when the attack was carried out in Ranibodli.
