Aryans Group to open business schools in north India

Shimla, Mar 31 (UNI) Chandigarh-based Aryans Educational and Charitable Trust (AECT) will soon be launching a chain of business schools in north India with an initial investment of Rs 2.75 crore, AECT Chairman Anshu Kataria said today.

Addressing a press conference here, he said the Trust would open its first business school in Punjab this year, while it would open a business school in Himachal Pradesh next year.

Mr Kataria said the Trust has already purchased land at Nepra village near Chandigarh on the Rajpura road.

The group would be starting Business School (MBA) and Management Institute (BCA, B. Sc. IT, BBA) from the next academic session (2007), he said, adding that it had also applied for permission, approval and affiliation.

The Trust also plans to start business schools in Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, he added.

Besides, Swami Vivekanand Group of Institutes from Chandigarh has also announced the setting up of School of Business Management in the state from this academic session, Head of Department of the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), Parveen Kataria said in another press conference here.

The Institute offers Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) a coures, she said.

The SVSM would impart practical training to the students during internships in various companies, besides providing for campus placements to the students, she maintained.
