2 killed, 9 injured in road accident

Ballia, Mar 31 (UNI) Two persons, including a woman, were killed and nine others injured, when a jeep fell into a gorge in Narhi area here today.

Police Superintendent Ikram-ul-haq said the ill-fated jeep carrying passengers was going to Buxar.

Near Karja village, the jeep hit a culvert and fell into a gorge, when the driver tried to negotiate a cyclist.

While, an unidentified woman died on the spot, Anil Kumar (40) succumbed in hospital. The injured have been admitted to hospital.
