10 dacoits arrested in K'taka

Hubli, Mar 31 (UNI) In a joint operation, police personnel from Hubli-Dharwad and neighbouring Gadag district have arrested ten dacoits, who had struck in Dharwad district for the past two weeks, near Mundargi village in Gadag district.

Police said all the dacoits belonged to the Hiranashikari community and hailed from Bellary, Gadag and Koppal districts.

The dacoits had gone on a looting spree in the villages of Dharwad district and had assaulted all those who came in their way.

The arrested were produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody.
