VSP signs MoU with Transparency India

Visakhapatnam, Mar 30 (UNI) Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) Chairman and Managing Director Y Siva Sagar Rao today signed an MoU with Transparency India Chairman retired Admiral Tahliani.

According to release here said VSP was the second public sector and the first in the steel industry to implement an integrity pact.

Mr Rao complimented VSP for being the front runner in implementing the best management practice.

The objective of the integrity pact was to have transparency, fairness and integrity in the organisation while dealing with large scale contacts, the release added.

Admiral Tahiliani said the commitment of officials and respect of independent external monitors were the prerequisites for the effective implementation of integrity pacts.
