Summon against spokesman of state Congress

Patna, Mar 30 (UNI) A local court here today issued summons against chief spokesman of Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) Prem Chandra Mishra.

The first class Judicial Magistrate of Patna, K M Tiwari found sufficient material under section 504 of the Indian Penal Code to issue summons against Mr Mishra after an enquiry in a complaint case. The case was filed by Managing director of Bihar State Hydrolic Power Corporation Lallan Prasad Sinha.

The court fixed April 12 as the date for appearance of Mr Mishra in the case.

The complaint said that the statement of Mr Mishra published in some local dailies relating to the extension of service tenure of Mr Sinha was made to insult the latter. It was published that Mr Sinha withdrew his complaint case filed against Bihar Energy Minister Bijendra Yadav to secure the extension of his service tenure.
