Ramdev's disciple proclaimed absconder

Ratlam, Mar 30: A district court has proclaimed Yoga Guru Ramdev's former disciple as an absconder in a case of attempt to murder.

Dr Rajesh Sharma, who was trained by Ramdev a few years back, is the prime accused.

Acting on an application by the prosecution, Chief Judicial Magistrate Satyendra Joshi on wednesday issued a warrant. The next date of hearing is April 2. According to prosecution, Sharma and his accomplice Lalit opened fire on Hemant Purohit in Banjli area on February 24. Police said Sharma's alibi of being admitted in a Bhopal hospital on that day seemed prima facie fake.

Both accused submitted a bail application at the Madhya Pradesh High Court's Indore Bench. The application was accompanied by documents regarding the hospitalisation.
