Pria Kataria Puri's Turkish delight dazzles at LFW
Mumbai, Mar 30 (UNI) From Paris last year, Pria Katari Puri's inspirations now travel to Turkey into the Byzantine and Ottoman era and come up with a glittering collection of bridal wear which had all the beauty and elegance which a girl dreams for her wedding trousseau.
The prints reflected the beauty of the old Topkai Sarayi Palace and the Turkish motifs from the Art Deco period.
Pria's fashionable journey went through fabrics that were rich and fluid, silk, chiffon, satin, tulle as well as lush velvet and lasered lace in metallic tones.
The silhouettes were very contemporary to balance with the vintage fashion tale as shimmering baby doll dresses, kaftans, lace chemises often teamed with micro shorts, metallic pants or skirts; had kimono, puffed or batwing sleeves and necklines that were tantalisingly deep, revealing a look that was more 60s in silhouettes.
Colours matched the grandeur of the theme with white, orange, gold and rich metallic tones of copper, bronze and antique silver which were embellished further with sequins, crystal and dazzling silver jewels. Detailing was restricted to tassels, fringes, silk thread and crystals.
