Pondy Chamber of Commerce welcomes VAT

Puducherry, Mar 30 (UNI) The Pondicherry Chamber of Commerce today welcomed the implementation of Value Added Tax (VAT) in the Union Territory from June 1.

They demanded that the provision of three per cent subsidy be provided to those, who were bound by Central Sales Tax to reduce their tax burden, a press release here said.
