PMK resort to agitation protesting SC stay on OBC reservation

Puducherry, Mar 30 (UNI) The Puducherry unit of the Pattali Makkal katchi (PMK) today held a demonstration in front of the Head Post Office here to protest the Supreme Court staying the operation of the Centre's notification providing 27.5 per cent reservation for OBCs in Centrally-run higher educational institutions.

Led by PMK Parliamentary party leader M Ramadass, the party vounteers gathered in front of the Head Post Office, wearing black shirts and holding black flags along with the PMK flags.

After the demonstration, besides Prof Ramadass, the two legislators Anantharaman and Arulmurugan and party functionaries addressed the gathering.
