PHC medical officer caught taking bribe

Palanpur, Mar 30 (UNI) A Public health centre medical officer was caught red-handed yesterday accepting a bribe of Rs 50 from one Amritbhai Rawal.

According to police Inspector PC Joshi of Anti Corruption Bureau investigating the case, Dr RJ Kumbaj, a medical officer at PHC , 17 km from here, had demanded Rs 50 from Mr Rawal for issuing fitness certificate for procuring driving licence from the RTO.
