Naxals kill home guard in AP

Ongole, Andhra Pradesh, Mar 30 (UNI) Naxals belonging to the CPI (Maoist) party today shot dead a home guard at Enuguladinnepadu village of Pedarivedu mandal in Prakasam district.

Police said three Maoists came to the school where the home guard Raju was posted to oversee the law and order situation in connection with the board exams and fired at him before escaping from the scene.

Red alert was sounded to nab the extremists, police added.
