Bhopal, Mar 30 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Tribal Welfare Minister Vijay Shah today said in the Assembly that his Department was mulling over the formation of its own technical agency for building construction.

During Question Hour, Ms Nirmala Bhuria (Bharatiya Janata Party) said that construction of a balak ashram building in Jhabua district's Naharpura was incomplete even after six years.

''Delays are caused because such work is done through the Public Works or Rural Engineering departments. A policy being drafted envisages a technical agency,'' said Mr Shah.

The Minister said that the District Collector's report was awaited regarding complaints against Assistant Commissioner (Tribal Welfare) Pankaj Mehta posted in Mandla district.

Mr Lakhan Singh Baghel (Bahujan Samaj Party) alleged large-scale corruption in purchase of stationery for an informal learning centre in Shivpuri district.

''An inquiry will be completed in two months,'' assured Scheduled Castes Welfare Minister Jagdish Deora.

In a written reply, Mr Deora said that Rs 12.76 lakh worth of stationery was purchased for Hostels of Excellence. Mr Baghel alleged that the material was purchased at more than double the printed price.
