MP Assy tributes to NCUI head

Bhopal, Mar 30 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Assembly today made obituary references to National Cooperative Union of India President and former Union Minister Sawai Singh Sisodia and paid tributes to the ex-member who hailed from Ujjain district.

As soon as proceedings got underway, Speaker Ishwardas Rohani informed the House of the demise that took place on March 24 in Delhi.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Leader of the Opposition Jamuna Devi, Mr Vanshmani Prasad Verma (Samajwadi Party), Mr Ramlakhan Sharma (Communist Party of India-Marxist) and other members described Mr Sisodia as an able administrator and popular leader.

A brief silence was observed and proceedings adjourned for five minutes as a mark of respect to the departed leader.
