K'taka Governor, CM extend Mahavir Jayanthi greetings

Bangalore, Mar 30 (UNI) Karnataka Governor T N Chaturvedi and Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today greeted the people of the State on the eve of Mahavir Jayanthi.

In his message here, the Governor said ''let us strive sincerely to follow the teachings of Lord Mahavir, who is the master of infinite compassion, promoter of universal peace, ahimsa, personification of supreme wisdom, equanimity, sacrifice and human solidarity and dignity.'' The Chief Minister recalled Lord Mahavir's words that 'Ahimsa is the heart of all ashramas, it is the womb of all shastras and it is the body of all virtues.' UNI
