HSBC branch opened in Mysore
Mysore, Mar 30 (UNI) The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) today opened its 48th branch here to widen its operation in South India.
Talking to newsmen here, HSBC, India Head (Personal Financial Services) Nicholas Winsor said that with the City of Palaces possessing enormous potential it was but natural for a financial organisation to open the branch to encash the opportunity.
He said that HSBC has more than two million customers served through 48 branch and 170 ATMs spread across 26 cities in the country. It has more than 25000 employees in Banking, Investment Banking and Capital Markets, Asset Management, Insurance Broking, Software Development and Global Resourcing operations in the country.
HSBC has direct investment of over USD 1.3 Billion in India and was custodian to over 50 per cent of the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). More than five per cent of country's exports and five per cent of Imports pass through HSBC India channels, he added.
