Gandhinagar, Mar 30 (UNI) Amid unruly scenes in the Gujarat Assembly, Speaker Mangaldas Patel has suspended all the Congress members for a day on the last day of the budget session here.

Unruly scenes erupted after the demand seeking adjournment of the House under rule no 108 by leader of opposition Arjun Modhvadia to protest the kidnapping and murder of a minor boy by a gang in Narole area of Ahmedabad city yesterday, was rejected.

The Speaker rejected the demand terming it as ''personal'' following which, all Congress members started shouting slogans and demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Narendra Modi. Later, they tore papers and threw into the well of the House.

When repeated requests from the Speaker to maintain peace in the House failed, he suspended all Congress members for a day under rule no 52 of the House. He also ordered the Marshals to physically remove members sitting in the well of the House.

Seventeen-year old collegian, Dipesh Gadhvi was kidnapped from Narole area on March 28 for a ransom of Rs 15 lakh. Yesterday his body bearing multiple stab injuries was found by the police from Nadiad area.

Mr Modhvadia alleged that as many as 25 children were kidnapped by gangsters for ransom in the last one year in Gujarat.
